Here I am! I have been making you all wait and wait to get to know me and now is finally the time!
I will be more of the silent blogger, but you might get to see some pictures of my work in Laurie’s post. I am the one with the 5 kids, husband, and puppy. That is a lot of work in itself, but in my free time I love to quilt, and thanks to Laurie, I am getting back in to sewing garments. I wont bother you with all of my info today…we can get to more of that in other posts (see! I have just committed to join you all again!)
The reason I have decided to join you today is because I have come across one of the challenges we are going to commit to for the month of February. I have been following EvaPaige Quilt Designs Facebook page and today when I clicked on her blog I see that she is having a UFO challenge for the month of February! All she asks is that we make a commitment of sewing time each day in the month of February to our UFO’s (and she has prizes!). So here is our commitment for DaGMT 2013-
We, Laurie and Kerrielee, are joining in Quilting Hottie Haven’s second annual DaGMT event. We both pledge to quilt for at least 45 minutes each day in the month of February 2013, giving up doing dishes, laundry, and making dinner for the sake of our sewing commitment. In doing so we hope to finish as many UFO’s as humanly possible for 2 women with 9 kids, a husband, a puppy, and a fish! Lastly, we think Beth Helfter is brilliant for coming up with this concept and inspiring us to join.
Here are a few of the UFO’s you WILL be seeing completed by the end of February-
Laurie’s-
Head on over to Quilting Hottie Haven’s Blog to see all the rules, there are only a couple, and let’s all get started on finishing some of the many UFO’s cluttering up our sewing spaces!
I am so happy to have met all of you today and look forward to getting to know all of you more. Until next time….Happy Sewing! ~K

Hey ladies! I am so thrilled you will be joining in, and have given you all the proper entries for joining and posting the button! Thank you! I’d love if you could make sure I have your email address – you appear to be in a “no-reply blogger” situation so I can’t reach you via email. Send it to me at evapaigequilts@charter.net when you have a sec, please! Thanks! Also, if you can use the linky on the DaGMT page right above the comments to link to this post, I bet a lot more people will start following your progress this month. Not a requirement, but it might not be a bad thing for you.
Hi Quilting Hottie (I just love this name!)
Thanks for this great challenge. We are so excited to get started and get some UFO’s complete.
Kerrielee
Nice UFO’s! I’m looking foward to sharing your progress in the DaGMT!
Hi Jennifer. I look forward to following your progress as well. This is going to be a lot of fun!

Hey, good luck with your UFO challenges. So far, all of my UFO’s are that way because I can’t figure out how to fix them or move on with them. Better than just procrastinating on them, I suppose
Thank you, we are going to need all the luck we can get ( and that 45 minutes of committed sewing each day will help also)!
Don’t worry one of these days you will pull out one of your UFO’s and say “I know how to fix that now”, happens to me all the time.
Good luck with DAGMT! I am also joining the challenge. I seem to have project ADD– I get easily distracted/excited about something new and never finish the others! So, hope to get some things completed.
Hi Kim!
I look forward to following your progress with this challenge.
I seem to have the same problem as you, I start a project, a new fabric or patterns comes to mind, and that poor ol’ unfinished project is lost in the UFO pile!
Happy Sewing~ Kerrielee
Love the blog name – it’s how I feel most of the time!!
Enjoy DaGMT – I’m in for 30 minutes a day! My list isn’t huge but I’m hoping my accomplishments are!
Those UFOs are going to be even more beautiful when they are FOs!
Hi Sharon!
They most definitely will be more beautiful (and useful) completed!
I was just digging through some boxes of fabric tonight and found about 4 more quilts tops that need to be completed.. Looks like we have quite a job ahead of us.
I look forward to following your progress!
Kerrielee
Let’s go quilters!!! I also am doing the DaGMT as I can no loner stand the stress of unfinished projects staring at me when I go to my studio and dare to look at fabric for yet another new project!!!
You are so right! having all these UFO’s can get you down! I am looking forward to my 45 minutes of sewing each day and hopefully having a few finished projects in the end! It will be fun to see what we all get done. Happy sewing!!
